You'll all been pretty patient thus far, and we're not used to EA going before Konami with news for a while now. Maybe it seems a tad longer too, as we had Blue Samurai pop out news early and keep things ticking. Which was handy, being a world cup year. Damn you Lippi.

And while what happened in Japan has meant many things have been put back a little, it has only meant the news, once hit, will keep flowing like blood after a MK death move. ewww.

We're talking impressions, videos, full reveals etc. Well, maybe not full, Konami are saving some goodies for E3 after all.

About Time...

So I'm now happy. No more sitting on my couch, waiting for something.

But the happiness isn't built from...well, the info solely. It's more to do with an instant realisation that what's happening in Japan hasn't impacted things thus far. I'm sure like me, most predicted and accepted the tsunami and earthquake that hit Japan (note: earthquakes still very much hitting) would seriously hinder the ability of the WEP Team in making PES 2012 the game they wanted.

So let's change happiness to relief, more fitting. Things are rolling with the same gusto and intent to deliver what I wanted, and very much what everyone now expects.

That's the point of the blog after all, to keep you informed of things the best I can, despite not really saying a great deal. With still a number of weeks before I can hint substantially (without getting assasinated), I want everyone to know things are picking up, and to have trust and assurance there's no letting up in making that game we want.

To round up. I can't fucking wait.

A Moment Away From PES

The blog is for all things PES, but many will know last year me and J used it to talk about other subjects when we felt like it.

Currently, while PES remains on the forefront of my mind, I can't stop thinking about the people in Japan. News report after news report, information on a higher death toll, and more details on the impact of the catastrophe. Just the other day I read a piece online speaking about how 40 school children have been huddled under a blanket for a number of days, waiting for their parents to collect them. Chances are they will never come.

The only guilty feeling I have over this, is the fact I suddenly care so much for Japan when natural disasters have been a regular occurrence around the world. Brazil, New Zealand etc, and now the current situation in Lybia. There's no denying that this extra feeling of sympathy to the Japanese situation is down to the fact PES is made there, and the team who make the game have been effected directly. Saying that, the impact it's had on the country has made it clear that there are much more important things in the world than computer games.

And with that I want everyone to remember just how crucial it is for us all to remain understanding, and be respectful to everyone suffering in Japan. PES 2012 news will come eventually, lets forget about that and focus on praying and helping the people struggling to survive in that country.

I hate this time of year as much as you do.

It's been teasing conversation after another for me, as well as some really intense collective brainstorming and feedback giving sessions. Right now it's a case of waiting for that email. THAT one. The one which tells me it's time to go.

So, apart from filling out my duties as a husband, games industry persona, footy fan and network provider, I'm also forever watching my phone and refreshing outlook every 5 seconds. It's nearly time, I hear. But nearly is feeling like an age right now.

Thank goodness I'll have the podcast series to keep me sane for little while longer. That should start next week, with a nice new intro I made while feeling very bored, and using a new beat one of our kind listeners created for us.

Spare A Thought

Poor Jon. What a role as a team leader.

I mean he lives in the UK, and controls everything PES across Europe from his office in London. But it's not that easy. He continually has to fly out to Japan to go oversee things at the PES team offices in Tokyo.

Since the release of PES 2011, he flew out a few days after Xmas (harsh), and is now currently in Japan. That's no small matter, we're talking 11hrs on the plane each way. Maybe I'm being dramatic, but more likely it's because I hate long flights. And all this traveling doesn't include trips to shows, and meetings across Europe with the other offices. Unlucky...

Nah who am I kidding, it's a Carlsberg job. You know, if they made jobs then...yeh yeh. I'm sure many of us would love to have to battle long flights just to have a major say in the world of PES.

Lets hope Jon isn't sick and tired of the trips too. I predict at least one more trip to the East after this one before the unveil of PES 2012. But at least when he flys next time, he'll have company...

He Said She Said...

Just letting you know, I heard the very first PES 2012 meeting took place in Europe last week. Discussions were mainly about planning it's reveal, rather than the actual game development.

It was more the marketing guys getting together and planning the release of news and brainstorming ideas with all the related Konami offices from around the world.

I'm thinking chief Japanese dude in a suit, at the end of a long table Godfather style. Cigar in hand, with his best Jackie Chan impression saying "No more mista nice guy". (Good film that)

I do doubt news is imminent though, as I see the 3DS version taking entire focus for now. Perhaps a safe bet is a PES 2012 reveal in April, last year it was May 4th, but I expect it earlier this year.

If it is indeed April, then it will be a monster month for news. Not just for PES, but also for WENB. Another statement that WENB = PES.

OK wait, I MIGHT not be going E3 after all. A bit weird as I've got accreditation. And doesn't take anything away from my hint.

Which in turn becomes another hint, really. So I won't be in LA in June. Which must mean something is happening BEFORE June, which in turn means something big must be happening for me not to go to a huge show for PES.

The Master Plan

It's crazy really. We're in January, and I'm already chirping on about PES 2012. How could this possibly be the case?

Easy, PES 2012 has had the same development time and focus that PES 2011 enjoyed, and Konami are well on the way with completing their master plan. Not trying to say PES 2011 was seen as a mere stepping stone, but like Jon Murphy said to me at Gamescom, it's all about creating a foundation first, then building upon it.

It has worked so far, as it seems right now the limelight is firmly on Seabass and his team, and whether they can take this opportunity. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about over throwing FIFA's incredible sales achievements - I mean critically. Talking to the press and folks in the media, they admitted they're very keen to see what Konami do next. A viable alternative is what they seek, and you'd be surprised just how many heads have been swayed in recent months.

FIFA is an excellent football game, I'm not here to insult your intelligence and try to make out PES is all conquering. But you would be foolish to think the astronomical sales EA's juggernaut achieves has ever been about quality. FIFA will always outsell PES, no matter what. It did when it was pants during the PS2 days, and will especially do so now as Konami try to find their feet this gen.

But finding their feet they are, and with plans afoot on trying to bring the critical crown home once again. With more and more people turning to PES, and sales surprisingly improving worldwide, by the time Konami announce PES 2012 early summer, you might find many more people eager to know more than usual.

P.S. I'm going E3 this year. I mean, I never go E3, but am going this year. Sure, PES was there last year, but why would I be going out of my way to make the trip this year? Surely must be a reason, right?...

Here We Go Again

Another year, another PES.

Yep it's as simple as that really for me. From the moment PES 2011 shipped, I'd already plunged hundreds of hours into the game, after playing it solidly since July. What I saw was a solid game, one that raised the quality bar of PES on this gen, but still left me wanting more.

The gap between this year and last years version was vast, and with the same dev time on PES 2012 (18-24months), I expect big improvements yet again.

And that's why I'm already looking ahead. I was hearing so much about PES 2012 before PES 2011 shipped that I couldn't help but feel like I wanted next year to hurry up already. Now that it's finally here, be it a few days old, I'm already excited.

Say it with me: PES 2012 is out this year. Zing mofo.

Watch out for an update post on feedback this week on WENB. I want to start dropping bombs (hints, not farts) but don't want to spoil Konami's surprise(s). Just stay tuned.

Nearly 5 months of non-posting on this blog, but not as if you don't know where to find me. The last update coincided with the run up to Gamescom, and when I got back all the PES info came thick and fast, so WENB was where I spent most my time.

And lets face it, this site is all about an alternative look at things in the release cycle, and a chance for me to drop some hints on new PES nice and early. It's also a chance for Jameel to make you all piss your pants, but he got busy with work same time as I disappeared, meaning we went dead.

But we're back, and already in the know about PES 2012 and whats coming. We'll start to really get into the nitty gritty in the new year.

Ever played a one on one fighting game? I mean REALLY played one? Arcade stick and all? Gripping the stick harder than a boy scout trapped at summer camp does making sweet love to his right hand? When it boils down to it, whoever knows the game better than the other does usually wins. PES used to be the same, a near perfect game engine on the best machine of its era. The PS2. When beating a worthy opponent in Tekken is the same as a worthy opponent in PES. It was knowing what couldn’t be done in the game that helped you beat your rival. What move they couldn’t perform is like knowing which pass they couldn’t make without losing the ball. YOU WIN!

Konami seem to have realised that fans now deserve their best efforts. The community was extra vocal this year and Konami are responding positively. They have listened to fans and forced change for the better. There was a strange moment this year where for the first time ever I felt empathy for you select Net Editors freaks. When I heard you could mess with nets in PES 2011 I thought thank fuck that, finally some news that will shut them up on the forums! I thought they would be crying for another year the whiny bitches! This game is already DIFFERENT. That then got me thinking about trying to learn a new PES as opposed to playing one that played like a good previous one…

**SPOILER ALERT**

PES has stagnated to the point where the Evolution in PES has become Evolved.

The game peaked in the PS2 days, it’s a common fact. C’mon everyone knows. For the next few years Konami proceeded to overtinker with a gameplay engine that had reached the peak of its growth on limited hardware. It was painfully evident that the PES team couldn’t understand the new tech yet and so messed the engine up so bad trying to compensate that fans couldn’t play the fucker. \Half of them play FIFA now ffs. So what’s changed three years later? Konami have had three years with the hardware. And boy have they figured it out. Like Ribery facing trial for screwing Underage whores, their problem of understanding how to program the PS3 and 360 tocreate what we all wanred is going down!

Revolutionary theory here but…

If you are an old school PES veteran of the PES of the PS2 years and are like I was, immediately suspicious relax and think. Stop playing Master League a minute and drop the dualshock.

We need a game that is going to really be a fresh experience. It.s time to welcome some real changes AND RELEARN A NEW ENGINE. This new game isn’t going to play like the old ones, even the golden ones. It's going to be better. Faster. More fluid. More real. Open your arms and drop the middle fingers. Evolution has returned.

Not just updated impressions, but also some substance. It's more proof that Konami are listening, and another chance for them to flex their "we're ready for anything" muscle.

Believe me when I say this, everyone will be stunned. Seabass and Co. have got their game tight this year, before we've even seen a gameplay video from EA for FIFA 11, the team from Japan might have already tied this badboy up before August.

Ditch The D-pad

Strong words, coming from someone who's been very much a d-pad PES player all my life.

This year is all about analogue, you'll suffer if you play d-pad. Sure it's still an option, but it's not the best option.

For now you'll have to trust me on this, but I'll go into it when I can. I hope you know I would never want PES to lose that responsiveness, accuracy and angle-movement the d-pad gives you.

This year on analogue it does all that and more. All explained in good time.

The Italians have been utter piss.

Wait keep reading. Normally as someone in living in the UK I would join in and laugh as Italy struggle with the rest of everyone, but after years of listening to Italian Fan Superbitch Adam, during the years 2007 to 2010 I was forced to relearn international football just to break up the marathon of bumming jokes Adam specializes in for 3 three hours straight at Shisha :'/

I thought I would point out a simple fact...

Since the average whiney PES fan doesn't realise he's part of a very select of uber-social retards hype and excitement is their anti Christ

As the aformentioned whiners consistently turn their attention to throwing frustrated wrenches into hype excitement and herefore banning themselves from fan forums, they specialise in little else (you know... Relationships, Social Life and Moving out etc)

I don't need the names as I've seen them plastered on certain fan forums hating on individuals at WENB, and other gaming fansites . The type of work done on WENB is the same done as a collective on all PES fansites, PESfan, PESGaming, EvoWeb and so on. Hell even any fan blog started up by someone who loves the game. Like ones based in Portugal for example... ;)

So here's a piece of simple advice that I can I assure you, they will have heard before and will probably in no doubt be told in many future moments in life:

MAKE UP YOUR OWN FUCKING MINDS!!!

OK so you don't know if the game is going to be glitchy or gold. guess what... right now neither do we.

So guys thought I'd post up some thing that has nagging me a while and something i consistently bitch about with Adam.

Where the fuck is Next-Gen? I know we have the hardware but where are the truly next generation games? Although Nintendo can piss off, the Wii is the biggest whore machine, its sleeps with more underage gamers than frank Ribery. Its based on… Infra Red? INFRA RED?!?! What the fuck, that shit died when Bluetooth raped it years ago!

I was playing through PoP the Forgotten sands yesterday and noticed that asides from the fact that its a PS2 game, the reason I was determined to complete it in one sitting, was because it reminded of the old games. Also halfway through the game I noticed the sound of the Princes feet slapping on cold stone sounded suspiciously like someone fapping softly. And since I have surround sound, I had to look over my shoulder half expecting to catch the Prince slyly jerking his gherkin behind my curtains. Well he does rarely nail the princess in any of the games, I sense his sexual frustrations. That’s where replaying time would be handy, nailing women until you ran out of energy or sand. Depends if you’re one of those marathon or short burst fuckers I guess… LOL

Anyway the point I’m trying to make is that game designers have struggled to get to grips with the hardware so far. Microsoft are showcasing Natal this year (you know its spelt GIMMICK actually lol, if you open it up its actually a stripped Sony EyeToy. FACHT.)

None of the games we are playing are original. Uncharted 2 was developed on a PS2 engine. FACHT.

Best 2D fighter? Street fighter II the Arcade. Standard Knowledge. Best 3D fighter? Virtua Fighter of course (and that’s coming from a former Tekken Tag Pro!) Best football game ever? PES 5 (or 6 depending which loon you talk to). Best espionage Game? Metal Gear Solid ONE! Sam Fisher got fuck yourself, convict my ass… And Metal Gear was on Ps1, some people haven’t even seen one of those mythical shitboxes! FACHT

Best FPS Game? You say COD MW2? Fuck off Unreal Tournament and Counterstrike were supplying quality online headshots waaaaaay before Infinity Ward were. Fallout 3 and Mass Effect? Anyone remember half life and Deus Ex?

So to reiterate we are all hoping that this year Konami pull their fingers out their collective asses (EA leave them alone these days haha) and make PES 2011 the first sports game that doesn’t piss off fans and actually does usher in the next gen of football gaming.

Inter Win It All

Better get in here quick, before J dismantles me regarding Inter winning everything.

I really hate Inter, like any fan hates their rival club. But this is different, as for so many years Milan have been the dominant force in the city, while Inter remained as the second club. Things have changed dramatically over the past few years though, and with key people Inter are now the best team in Europe.

And while it pains me to say Inter are worthy treble winners, I'm happy for 3 people. Mourinho, Milito and Zanetti. All 3 I'm fans of, but more so Zanetti. The man is a legend, and at his age still working wonders. The worst thing that could have happened for Robben was Chivu going off and Javier going to left back. Someone got pwned, just like Messi did by the same person in the semi's.

But that's enough credit where credit's due. Time to have a cold shower.

The Two Key Components

So, I'm sure everyone is used to the likes of me talking about Steve Merrett and Jon Murphy. And while I'm sure everyone has got to know Jon a little better, Steve remains as elusive as J when it's time to pay the bill at the shisha bar.

Don't get me wrong, Jon is awesome. His involvements with PES and the way he heads everything as a PES Team leader is key in making the whole thing tick. I look forward to getting him on a future podcast and giving the community a way of really getting to know him away from his twitter antics.

But without doubt, Steve (SteveM on WENB boards) is the main reason why community sites are being looked after, and the influence WENB has goes further than our boards. His sole commitment to helping us and other sites has created an incredible bond with the fans.

In my opinion, WENB isn't the most liked website within Konami. Too many people there pulling in different ways, looking after the next pay cheque rather than the bigger picture. We also do our best it seems to piss people off, by going close the bone regarding embargoes, and actually go beyond the norm when planning things with PES. While I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, but WENB has changed the landscape when it comes to community sites. It's not that we go around saying we're the best, but what we do has made others sit up and take notice, and desperately try to keep up.

Steve sees this as a positive, while others are bothered because it makes them look shit, and forces them to do some work. Showing then just how key he is to Konami actually making a comeback this year. Left in other hands, this resurgence might never have happened.

So each night when you say a little prayer for Jon, make sure you spare a moment for Steve too. As while one takes the headlines, the other would be sorely missed if he wasn't there.

Don't hate on this one. Me and J have been trying our best to meet and do a poddy, but work issues and matching free time meant we had to do it in a public place, a shisha bar in central Manchester!

You know I’m actually kinda glad that at the moment the reception that people have given the news about PES 2011 has been so positive. Twitter search #PES to see how happy everyone is this year globally. For a change people are not having to defend PES for the third consecutive year (thanks Nokami :P)

Even the sell-outs who turned their backs on PES for FIFA are looking with lust over their collective shoulders at what us guys are going to get this year. If you are one of them, what the fuck are you doing here? The FSB is thattaway you lost motherfuckers! Go self copulate over ya licensed kits and shitty game!

Now I’m not saying FIFA isn’t good. It good, trust me. But it isn’t GREAT. PES is GREAT. Pro Fucking EVOLUTION baby. Scroll to the pic again. The clue is always in the title dudes! Just because it’s shortened don’t forget what those three letters stand for. Konami forgot what they had created for a while, wandered in the wilderness, making glitch mad footy games. However, like you all i was pleasantly surprised by the press release the other day. It really looks like Konami shows they have wandered back from the edge of the world and they are back on track. Boy are they back on track! The Messi trailer really made me feel that, “THIS YEAR,” as Liverpool fans say, “is OUR YEAR.”

Promise us that people will forget EA. They’re were and still are too busy shitting bricks trying to figure out:

A) How to reduce that chronic dick peddler Tiger Woods’ 2010 license fee.

B) How many female employees Tiger managed to hole in one during Mo-Cap sessions. No Tiger, I don't wanna smell that fist....

C) The logistics of paying people double cheeseburgers to blatantly lie to generate fake hype! Coco pops AND your XBOX 360? Yeah right now I KNOW you're chatting shit you Pinocchio mofo!

Konami have got the proof to the PES Messiah that has got us ALL loving it for the first time.No more hoping it will be better. And as for Pure football…pfft those Ubisoft boys can stick to their Prince of Persia and Just Dance.

PSM3 Off To Japan...Already???

What the...its May people!!! And already PSM3 are flying out to Japan to go play PES 2011? Not alone I might add, but still, shows Konami are pimping out their awesome efforts this year nice and early.

This will mean more definitive impressions from the big boys in the press world very soon. Well, June to be exact:

we see the game next week, when we head to Japan for the first-look - with details to follow in PSM3#128, on-sale June 3rd.

Yes I know we don't care what the press think, but will be interesting to hear what the 'FIFA 10 is perfect!' crowd think of PES this year. OK maybe not, but we might get some new pictures and video.

So he brought along in one of footballs greatest midfielders. Old pat Viera. Oblivious that Viera would become the midfield version of neo from the Matrix, Utd fans were happy as the careers of long serving toughnuts like Keown were expiring, man I thought I’d never see those thugs again. Wrong. Wenger’s dietary regiments and physio treatments prolonged careers. Now the geriatric grandmotherfuckers kept kicking footballs late into their thirties! WTF!? Arsene you wily bastard! Always one step ahead! I already wasn’t liking this shit. Although I confess looking back it was funny watching Arsenal struggling to keep up a high tempo on MOTD. Hold on…its just the same now! Wenger’s enough obsessed with promising youngster and carefully nurtures them like no other manager. Some get greedy like Cashley (marry me instead Cheryl innit, blatant) whilst others got bare twofaced, getting MVP on themselves. Well known fact is Wenger was rescuing children in Africa first from a life poverty and oppression . He gave them a sweet life full of fast cars, thick women and thicker wages. Saved from a lifetime of mediocrity in Italy (true Adam!), he played his best years in the premiership pissing me and my Man Utd supporting friends right off by repeatedly scoring some of the GREATEST goals I have ever seen. Fool even carried them to titles and CL finals. (Chose to win it with Barcelona instead haha).

At the time my prepubescent mind couldn’t process the anger I felt and I would indulge in random acts of self harm. Not really. I since discovered that funny internet shit and smoking a little Shesha help dissipate bad feelings caused by said football related anguish. As you all know Henry eventually moved to pastures new in Spain and finally broke his biscuit legs slinking around the Nou Camp, playing lame ie showing Messi how to not play. Last time I heard that his coke addiction has escalated wildly. Although he has become good at basketball.

People like to cuss Arsenal’s headmaster. Hell even some of their fans are bitching for some silverware. Some said at one point this season that old Arsene can’t handle the pressure and should walk away. Idiots. To be fair Arsenal has to be one of the best run clubs in modern football, hardly ever in the papers due to financial circumstances, I have to give credit where it’s due. I still get a buzz when Arsenal decimate some random team. Wasn't it great when it was only you or us who could win the league? :) yep.

Crunch Time...

The end lines are in sight all across Europe as the the brightly burning league champion chases begin to fade. In the EPL the races for the title is open to three contenders, in Italy the Nerazzurri have finally lost their grip on pole, losing headway to Ranieri's Roman Army (sorry it wasn't Leo's AC Adam!).

In Spain, wince as a frankly sub par Real Madrid carried by Ronnie give chase to flavour of the month Barcelona. Oh and fans of teams at the wrong end of the table…spare a thought for Turkish side Ankara SAŞ, relegated from the top flight in disgrace. All Ankaraspor results from this season were voided and awarded 3-0 to Ankaraspor's opponents by default. Ouch! I don't even think those mofos have even got a working website anymore!

So nothing can be predicted in the world of football, FYI Portsmouth fans it could have been worse hehe.

Sorry to ramble on but how does this relate to PES? The climax of the current season means a new season and a new game is on the horizon. As everyone winds down PES 2010, whispers from the East carry some promise of a new PES, and I just cannot wait, as I hope itwill be Pro Revolution 2011 not Pro Evolution as there are still some flaws that Konami need to address. DLC was a start!

Will this be the year of the return of the true football game, and will Konami's Evolution beget Revolution? My fingers are crossed, albeit loosely as I gotta see some code first! stay tuned to WElovePES folks!

Small Changes Make Big Differences

Was sat back before and admiring my Splinter Cell work, when my eye caught the PS2 pre-owned section. Like a predetermined action, my eyes instantly looked for PES, and there was PES4. Collina, Henry and Totti.

What came to mind at that moment was remembering reading the review for the game in PSM3, and the way they articulated the way the stats in the game make huge differences. Bumping them up 10 points either way made an impact. So, how it should be, someone who's shooting accuracy tuned up from 80 to 90 means more shots on target.

These stats are important, but also go hand in hand with the philosophy of PES - player individuality. Oh heck, its not even that, PES is/was real football. We played PES not only because the players looked and behaved like each other, but the teams played individually as well. Everything felt real, not like a game, and that's where this feeling of it having a soul came from.

These days people speak about manual control, and to many PES fans that's blasphemy. I agree PES has become more restrictive on this generation, but the freedom, and stat-effected outcomes of shots and passes are what makes the game like real football. It's where FIFA fails, but with PES being in this current state, its flaws haven't been magnified.

What Konami need to do is free up the game a hell of a lot, but nothing more than they used to. AI is far too important these days, and that's whats bringing it down. Free it up again, while making these world stars feel like themselves.

PES 2010 was only a few changes from being an excellent game. The changes might have required time and investment, but if done right PES could be back to its best.

WENB is announcing some editing team additions this week, some well known people in the community have joined forces to make sure the PES 2011 option file is everything we wish for this year. The idea is a bigger team will make sure we can cope with the lofty expectations, and not compromise what we want despite Konami's inevitable updates.

And sure, totally agree with those who want to poo poo it's influence over the recent games on this generation, but it still is there somewhere. And even in this diminished state, it has ample of it compared to FIFA.

I just Can't Wait!

Quite a bit of drama eminating from this clash of the titans, MUST and the Green & Gold campaign are adamant that there will be 10,000 empty seats tonight. I'm hoping that it doesn't detract from the atmosphere and be the only talking point. I'm fully behind any ideas to reduce the debt Utd suffer, but disrupting the biggest night of this year? No thanks...

However, as you all are aware the prodigal son returns to OT tonight ladies and gents. Wearing #34, if there is one thing that David Beckham does better than most is fill stadiums! Leonardo is dancing around the idea of whether he starts, but for us OT faithful please do, Becks is still one of our favourite players.

Milan need to score early or face counter after counter, same can be said for United.

Focus should be on both teams up top with Pato (if he is fit...) and Rooney (if he is fit...) both with the intent of writing tomorrows headlines. AC boast the two most recognisable wingers in world football. (Ronaldo's now a striker in my view!) Dinho's back to his inspirational best and raring to go. United will have to be wary, he showed enough in the first leg to make me worried for tonight.

PS2 & PSP WE Sales > PS3

After the fantastic sales of the PS3 version in it's first few weeks in Japan, the month of December has given Konami a reality check.

The charts, published just before Xmas, show both the PSP and PS2 making it into the top 30. The PS3 version? Nowhere to be seen. And seeing as the 10th game in the chart shifting a measly 50k, it makes you wonder how little the PSP (no. 18) and PS2 (no. 29) versions actually sold - which in turn makes you realise just how little the PS3 version has managed to find itself into new homes during December.

All in all, the first month sales were nothing more than a false dawn - not nice when it happens in your own backyard. Seabass & Co really do have their work cut out for next year.

World Cup Year = Special PES/WE?

Something we all should be aware of is the fact Konami always do something a little differently when it comes to promoting PES/WE in a world cup year.

Its more apparent in their back yard, as with titles from 1998, 2002 and 2006 they've always had some sort of connection with the world cup. Over in Europe we're more used to special covers to coincide with it (ISS Pro 98 with Ravanelli and Ince, PES 2 with England/Umbro license for the official England shirt) but in Japan its a true occasion.

Even WE10 came out earlier in 2006, along with a whole host of new International licenses.

Its not guaranteed, but I predict something special when PES/WE is released next year.

The Case Study

I ALWAYS do this. I'll pick two teams, then play them against each other on both FIFA 10 and PES 2010.

The main point is to see which game a) shows the teams at their real-life best, and b) see how important individuals perform and effect that teams performance. Take Russia vs Germany for example. Two great captains who control the tempo (or at least are the heart of it), while having players around them with different attributes and strengths.

Surprisingly FIFA 10 does really well in representing the teams, with great work ethic and possession being priority. Due to that though, players like Arshavin are lost, and is in no way influential in how the team performs.

As you would expect though, this is where PES shines. Having some tough players, and some extremely quick ones around him, Arshavin in PES is an astute playermaker, making think happen for the team and making them tick.

Like I've said many times, individuality is key when representing players in a sports game, and thats why PES will always stay ahead for me.

Case closed.

PES Really Does Need You

Weird to be looking ahead, even before PES 2010, but thats where I'm at right now. I've never been so excited about the future of PES and being part of its revival is incredible stuff.

And I don't mean personally, I'm talking about all of us. With your help and feedback after playing some PES 2010, you can have your say too. Its all the more exciting as we have a decent PES this year. Last year was a tad tough. Most of the people I know stopped playing PES 2009 quite quickly after launch, but that just isn't going to happen this year. What with the gameplay sorted, and with ML so involving looking ahead has never been so much fun.

Its something thats within me too, this looking ahead malarky. Working in game development is all about staying ahead and making sure you know what your doing after a game hits, especially when its a yearly product. No doing so is like hitting a beautiful 50 yard pass and admiring it yourself, rather than joining the attack and making the most out of it.

We started in May-ish with the feedback stuff, but this year we start the feedback October 23rd. So make sure you play lots of PES and get on the feedback sections in PESGaming, PESFan and of course WENB as soon as you feel you can make some valid points.

I'll be taking notes.

In many ways, I feel sorry for Konami. It seems, at least to the wider public, any gameplay videos released by them or the community are judged in comparison to FIFA 10. And when you compare it to EA's animation masterpiece, its very difficult to compete.

In one way it gives Seabass & Co. a clear direction in how to improve the series, but in the other shows how superficial the fanbase has become. For me it's crazy that everyone is more bothered about how the game moves rather than how it plays.

It's also a very easy criticism to make, as we all know FIFA 10 has the production value of a team who, in fairness, NEED to sell 1.7 million copies in its first week to get a thumbs up.

What PES 2010 gives you is an incredibly realistic game of football, both against the human and CPU. While it might not have the moves that FIFA 10 has, it makes up for it in almost everything else. When you play the final version and give it the time it deserves, you'll all appreciate how special PES 2010 really is.

Jesus, PES 2010 can be brutal ALL THE TIME.

No matter who you play, or the situation, breaking a team down is both painstakingly difficult and frustrating at times. Teams just don't break their defensive line, and it becomes a game of chess trying to unlock the most beatable teams.

Take my latest mach against Wolves with Man UTD. Attacking a team like Wolves you would think would be much easier than, say Chelsea, but what you find is that an organised opponent is to be expected no matter who you play.

For sure worrying about conceding against lesser teams isn't as big as facing Drogba or Anelka, but scoring a goal, or at least creating an opportunity against everyone is constant.

A quick fiddle with team play lets you find ways of breaking even the stubborn defenses down, but its an option most casual fans won't want to invest too much time in. It makes for some interesting matches in ML though, and should prolong the longevity of PES 2010 tenfold, especially in single player. There's nothing like seeing something in the game that would actually happen in real life. Take my one of my many derby matches against Inter. Leading 1-0, late on they were piling on the pressure and I conceded from a header by Lucio. Nope, not from a FK or CK, but from open play! Damn his join attack card...

Back to 2006 - For A Day

No I haven't got a mad scientist as a mate, who happens to own a DeLorean.

I've been playing a hell of a lot of PES 2010, alongside Winning Eleven 10 today (released in 2006), and putting the titles against each other. Why WE10? Well its a game I constantly keep playing 3 years after its release, for me encapsulating the sport its based on perfectly.

With PES 2010 in my hands (and now yours), playing both back to back was supposed to make me feel no difference - or at least emmit old sensations. Unfortunately thats not the case, with the feeling of PES' golden years still staying in the past.

Don't get me wrong, PES 2010 is an excellent game, and one thats quite clearly a proper nextgen version of PES. Its just that, after long period of play, it doesn't quite make me want to stop playing WE10. The depth in play, individuality of players, responsiveness (ahem) and freedom of play is still unparalleled to this day. And while Konami are doing things the right way with PES 2010, they still are a little away before my PS2 is packed away.

Back In The CL!

And back with a bang! The Milan squad has struggled in Serie A in recent years as its quite clearly a team built on European influences rather than Italian. The organisation, brute force and tactical nous of Italian ethics is perhaps instilled in teams like Juve and Inter, but the expansive and more open play is what Milan (these days) are known for.

Great match tonight away to Marseille, although striker Niang did embarrass our defence with some silky skills at times. It came down to Super Pippo, with 2 chances and 2 well taken goal. He's another player that has always been perfectly represented in PES. His responsiveness when reacting to loose balls and ricochets are extremely high in the game, as well as his finishing skills. Then you have his heading ability tuned to perfection too. Everything else? Low as it should be, especially the art of staying onside.

These things are so difficult to get right in a game, but the feeling is something Seabass managed to instill in his games. Its something that perhaps led him to over-tinker in recent years (Ranieri style), and took away the enjoyment. Having a balance of AI interference and freedom is something, as PES fans, we've grown used to over the years and accepted, but the cross over to nextgen has given birth to things like teamvision.

This year is a step back into good old days, with AI interference kept to bare-minimum - focused primarily on the CPU you're against rather than your players. Lets hope we get more realisations about how good PES was back in the PS2 days from Seabass, and with it more improvements on the gameplay for nextgen.

Going Against The Grain...

It seems thats what I'm doing when talking highly of PES 2010. It's like people don't want to hear it, with negativity their main focus when talking about the series.

Is a decent PES game that hard to imagine?

Well you better get used to it, as thats what we have this year. It's awesome to play one great footy game after the other, and while some may want to disguise the fact FIFA 10 isn't that good - it actually is.

But for me there are big reasons why I'll be siding with PES 2010, obviously depending on if they get those bugs cleaned up. First of all the graphical and visual appeal. Yes I know graphics aren't the most important thing in a game, but they're so awesome in PES 2010 that its hard to ignore. From faces, to player models, to kits, to stadiums, to grass etc etc the list goes on. PES 2010 looks miles better than FIFA 10. In all those aspects.

Then there's the dribbling and general feel of playing the game. I appreciate what EA have done with FIFA 10's dribbling with the new skilled dribbling, but it still feels far too predetermined for my liking. To beat a man with natural movements feels very...well, unnatural. When you press down those two shoulder buttons you have it already in your mind you want to beat the man. Where as in PES its all natural, and going past a player is part of the games DNA.

Finally player individuality. I feel EA have made strides to nail this with FIFA 10, but the difference when playing both is clear to see. With FIFA 10 Messi and Ribery are dribblers who are quick, but will they be actually better to purchase over the likes of Lennon or Shaun Wright-Phillips? The intricacies are in PES, and thats what floats my boat.

There's a long list of what FIFA 10 is better at (animations are dreamy!), but people will start to find that in those respective fields PES 2010 isn't that far behind at all. After thinking that way for a number of months I feel more confident in that prediction after playing both games back to back. This IS the year for PES fans, no doubt.

We should be getting final PES code early next week, and with that expect loads of info on here and WENB. Can't wait to see if the things that annoyed me have been taken out.

Animations Hold The Key

They really do, not the drop dead gorgeous graphics.

PES 2010 is beautiful, something everyone is starting to fully understand with leaked screenshots and comparison pics. Whilst EA felt content with the graphical look of FIFA 09, Konami were busy working hard on making PES 2010 look better than anything anyone could expect. Thats great, but it isn't something thats made the series famous.

I was with a few friends today, and we spoke about the PES series and what was so great about them. Apart from the feeling PES gave you, animations kept coming up. Quite a few of us spoke of the buzz we got after seeing something new months into playing the game. That fresh feeling was there after spending an incredible amount of hours playing PES, something no other game could quite equate to.

Whilst playing PES 2010 on a daily basis is amazing, I can't help feeling that same fresh feeling of movements and animations hasn't match the feeling of PES5/6. I'm hopeful some of that comes back in the final code, but for it to be the benchmark again would be asking for too much. What's clear though is now that Konami have nailed the graphics, PES 2011 has to be solely focused on bringing back the animation feel of the old PES.

If it does it will finally step out of the shadows EA is casting with FIFA.

Relearning A Familiar Game

The feeling of relearning something you already know so well is an odd one. There are so many aspects of the gameplay in PES 2010 that are comforting. The accuracy and satisfaction in passing is an old favourite returning, and is fantastic to behold in the nextgen era. And because it's like a long lost friend, it's easy to get used to and appreciate as soon as you pick up the controller.

Quickly though you realise that the return of the passing game isn't just because it was an obvious addition - it's because the game would be flawed without it thanks to the incredibly astute AI.

Without writing an essay, I want to explain that the defensive AI is so clued up on Top Player, that I fail to remember a more challenging experience from a PES game. The structure of the back line, the way team mates support each other, the way gaps are filled etc - its a battle no matter who you face. Sure its always going to be a more difficult match against Man United rather than Portsmouth, but thats only due to personnel rather than perseverance.

And thats why the much improved passing system is welcome, as you'll be pinging the ball about holding onto possession, trying to create space and stretch stubborn defenses. Its not easy, but you'll be more successful with creative players who can pass that little bit more faster and accurately.

Thank God Milan still have Pirlo!

We Got Spanked

Inter taught us a lesson tonight. Thought I would share my pain with you all.

From Gattuso's inability to think like a human being, to the lack of quality Ronaldinho showed when we needed him most, we were a mess. Leonardo didn't help by leaving Huntelaar and Seedorf on the bench.

But I'm OK, destroyed Inter on PES 2010 a mighty score of 1-0 after the game. Made me feel loads better, and not just because I won. It really felt like it was the same two teams playing on pitch. Lucio monstrous in defence with Samuel, and Eto'o and Milito always a threat upfront. Even the physical midfield was difficult to pass through.

In the end one clear chance got me the win, a blast from Pato into the corner. Felt good, almost forgot we got destroyed tonight. Safe to say I'm not looking forward to playing Madrid in CL. AT ALL.

Back With A PES Desire

Seriously, sounds super odd, but playing PES 2010 after a 5 day break reminded me of my time learning to drive. I would step into the learner car and mess up repeatedly. Stalling occurred about 15 times in an hour session.

I stopped for a few weeks and then came back with untold wisdom, and full realisation that if I put the clutch up too far without enough gas it would stall. After that I had a few more lessons then passed the test.

PES 2010 frustrated me a lot when playing it. I have to be honest and say the code I have has a lot of response issues and glitches, and that would hamper the flowing footy I wanted to play. Since I got back though I've learned to put these problems aside by focusing on a passing game, spending less time dribbling and more time playing football with my entire team. Doing this while always feeling reassured that the issues will be ironed out before launch.

And it's not long until I get full access to review code. We're talking around 2 weeks, and the good news is I can record video and take pics!

Played PES 2010, Loved It To Bits

A mixture of Xbox 360 and PS3 codes played, and both had different strengths right now. 360 was super fluid and the freedom of movement was more profound, whilst the PS3 had newer content and looked a tad sharper.

I think both were about 75%, so still work to do. Animations looked really nice, some of them were out of this world!

We'll chat about it at length in this evenings podcast. Apologies for the lack of activity today, just difficult to get online consistently while shopping with the missus!

Oh and sorry for the downtime WENB has suffered today, max hits seems to be 50K before it goes down, and we're hitting well over that today. We're moving servers really soon, so fingers crossed we'll get this sorted.

When they hit Monday, you'll all be buzzing. There's a lot, but only a couple of in-game ones. But seriously, they're gorgeous!

One of them has had me watching my monitor for hours. The detail is outstanding.

Also, looking forward to PESFan's ML report. Those guys have been hammering the game out for a few weeks, so must have tested that special mode out excessively - hope they announce some major improvements to how the whole thing works.

Have to say really unimpressed with JVN for hitting the leak on the video, PESFan should be releasing the same video today with much better explanations about what the code is about.

Then its over to Europe again, with expected playtest impressions coming midday, along with the unveiling of the cover art.

Seriously, Suff is pissed. Just chatted to him and he can't for the life of him understand why Konami would show a video thats clearly (to us) from old code. You should of heard him on the phone before.

It's obvious that Konami didn't want to spoil the news at Gamescom, but I say if thats the case then why not hold the video back? Maybe a few weeks after Gamescom would have been best. But hey, Konami have been spot on this year, suppose they had to get some things wrong now and again.

All I can say is wait for Cologne. There's going to be a big enough difference there to make you realise, like Suff, how silly it was to release the video you saw showing so much gameplay.

We've had lots of mixed messages today, starting with word that we'd have to wait until Gamescom for news. Recently though, that changed into confirmation of news this week thanks to the guys at PESFan. Those guys are bringing it this year, happy to see that they're really striving to make things happen for the community this year.

Makes the wait to Gamescom that little bit shorter, and sweeter. Check PESFan (and WENB) at 10am tomorrow for the video.

Is It Or Isn't It?

Thats probably what most of you are asking right now. After news was supposed to hit last week, it seemed that Konami were indeed holding back for a more suited occasion to 'drop the bomb.' So with most looking ahead to Gamescom, we've been surprised to learn that news may yet come before the show at Cologne.

Coming from long time friend Caniggia, he states that the big announcement could hit as early as this Wednesday. If it was just any old person making such a claim we'd dismiss it. But this is someone who's been friends with WENB since day one, has met with Seabass, AND is very close to Konami in Scandinavia. Certainly adds weight to what he says.

My gut feeling tells me that Konami will make sure he doesn't say anything, but I hope I'm wrong. Any news this week would be ace, but if it doesn't come at least we have something to look forward to next week.

Animations Are In

Which might seem like an obvious statement for many, that seems to be the reaction from most when they read the 'confirmation' on WENB. But to me it means a whole lot more.

It's one thing saying you're going to do it, but going through with it is something else altogether. The past few years have seen Konami break a lot of promises, to us and media. Remember the continuous claims that PES would work online for example?

The first playtest was full of these promises, and much of our judgement on the experience weighed heavily on what we were told was yet to be implemented. I can't stress how important it is for PES 2010 to move right, and the word right now is it looks a treat. And it's not even the normal movements being redone, its the fact that those subtle ones (player has a look around before receiving a pass etc) are in too. These add to the whole experience, and bring us back to the old days when months down the line you would discover/see something new.

What Konami need to be ready for though is fans being expectant regarding these sort of things, as they're unlikely or applaud Seabass and co for what they do right this year - we've been waiting long enough. More pressure on Konami then, but it seems it will bring out the best in them.

Milan Lose Again...

Just wanted to share my pain with you all, especially as there's nothing else going on in the PES world right now. Certainly the calm before the storm.

But yeh, thats something like 6 defeats in a row in pre-season. Worryingly, we've been playing awful, and today was another bad performance (vs Benfica). Kaka moving on has hit us hard. Going to be difficult playing as Milan in PES this year, but thats all I do. I'm a bit of a loyalist, and Milan tend to be the only team I play as. Sure I have exhibitions now and again - I mean who isn't going to choose Real Madrid in the first few matches when they play PES 2010? But I play as Milan as I understand the team ethic, from the first 11 to the reserve and youth players.

Will be the first PES in years where Milan will be the 2nd tier team when playing matches against my mates. Oh well, at least I've got an excuse when they beat me.

PES 2010 Finally Breaks Away From PES 2009

Well, say Eurogamer.

Buzzing off their latest tweet, stating how different it is from PES 2009. That familiar feeling was felt by many magazines/websites, not least me when I first saw the game in June.

The fact that Eurogamer, the people who mentioned how familar it felt to 2009 in their first preview, are saying its different is massive. For me it shows that Konami's promises to us and all about the improvements in the months before release have been implemented.

Don't hate me, but I've just been told the news won't be hitting this week.

I have to apologise for this, but unfortunately this can happen when you are so eager to have the finger on the pulse. Our relationships with certain people allow us to get a lot of insight, and sometimes the news is so early that things can change.

I still believe it will come before Gamescom, but if Konami are smart they will save it for then.

Winning Eleven & Food... Match Made In Heaven!

Konami have never been ones to shy away from forging strange promotional campaigns and partnerships with fellow companies in the past. This year it seems that Calbee, the popular savoury snack manufacturer (as if you guys don't know) has realised the immense marketing potential of WE and decided to team up. For a limited time only they will be producing lightly salted crisps with the J-League logo on the front and in the top corner, a recognisable graphic, that being the logo of the new Winning Eleven 2009 Club Championship Game!

Why bother posting this I hear you say? Well with everyone hungry ;) for PES news, I put two and two together... and well as Adam will testify (Beef Flavoured Space Raiders... ;P) and I'm sure others will, the connoisseurs choice of munchables whilst playing WE and PES has been and always will be crisps. And the fact that they will be giving away limited edition WE cards with the crisps is a nice bonus! Or was that the main point of the post? I forget.

J.League 2009 Video Makes Me Happy

I love it. The gameplay looks spot on. The movement and the way the whole game plays out is spot on. The aggressive and relentless defensive AI is...OK you get it.

Looks like the big news is hitting tomorrow, with no press release sent through today. Been scouring the internet and it seems no one is too clued up on the day Konami will release the megaton, so it's a case of sitting and waiting.

Also, no idea if the news will be put back until Gamescom. We'll know if thats the case if it doesn't come tomorrow, although I'm still positive it hits this week.

New Embargo Date Gamescom?

I think so, it certainly points towards that.

This "pan-European" statement reminds me of something I deal with regarding work, and its a date that is set for everyone across the continent.

We had the same thing put on us last year, as when we played PES 2009 before Leipzig our NDA finished as the show started. Be warned though, last year we also had an extended embargo on game modes (like edit mode) so the same might be in place this year too.

Either way, it still means Gamescom will be the day the world ends. Or the day PES 2010 news/videos hit the internet. Same thing.

Oh well its to be expected I suppose. PESFan are official partners through PES Rankings, and they've been around for many more years than WENB. Just wish I could play it though, but rules are rules.

At least we know the code is here, and people are already playing it. The next bit of news, whether its a magazine preview or website exclusive, will be fresh and worth reading.

Hints? It's In Our DNA (NDA?)

I want to say how sorry I am for the excessive hinting going on. Trust me, I know how annoying it can be. Unfortunately its the way this industry works. You have so many forms of communication these days (blogs, twitter, facebook etc), and containing news is difficult for publishers. NDA's go so far, and much of it is left to trust. Breaking such a bond would be suicidal for sites such as WENB, especially as it's taken so long to get where it is.

From the day me and Suff started WENB, we wanted to try and bridge the gap between the fans and Konami, and get news for the community. We've come to understand it's not that easy, but we've always tried to bend the rules the best we can.

And thats why hinting at news has become something we're known for. We don't do it for personal satisfaction, or for an ego trip. It's done for you guys, even the ones who despise us. I've found with every few friends you make, you find someone who hates you, but thats the same in everyday life. But we've never stopped, always tried to stick to the same mentality and thats get the news to the fans. Yes, even you Mr "I hate WENB/Adam", because the work we do is for you as well.

Hopefully we won't have to hint for too long, especially with Gamescom around the corner. Soon we'll be on the same page! The next few weeks are going to go by so slowly...

ULTRA Fans Beware, PES 2009 Merchandise Tests Your Wallet

I'm all for buying special merchandise for the series I love, but £65 (€77) for a Lazio shirt for the 08/09 season with PES 2009 on the front seems a bit too much. Nevertheless, thought I would let you know.

Is it wrong I'm tempted? If that was a Milan shirt it would be getting bought, even it had PES 2008 on it!

Let The Guessing Begin...

The podcast has got communities buzzing, and guessing like crazy what is going on. It's also got a few confused, especially when trying to guess what it is.

A hint in the right direction is - it's not something me and Suff have championed in the past, or something we all screamed about wanting in PES. If anything, it's something I've been quick to dismiss in the past - calling it unnecessary.

Therefore, the news hitting isn't big to me personally (because I'm an old fart), but in the grand scheme of things its absolutely huge. The guys into their technical stuff will be ecstatic. And the beauty of the announcement open doors for more...well, beautiful things. This is because to achieve this goal the many factors around it need to stepped up, and they have been.

But thats enough cryptic messaging, keep an eye as news could hit any day now.

Surprises… They can begin with something as simple as a phone call. We here at WElovePES have been busy with a series of phone calls this morning that have dropped a gigantic bombshell regarding PES 2010, with the information coming from an extremely well trusted PES contact.

There is a MAJOR feature of the up and coming build and final release this year that was not revealed beforehand. One that completely caught us by surprise and no doubt will surprise many PES gamers.

For PES fans this is going to be a vital aspect of the game that will if revealed too early will only create a furore of more questions, with opinions having to be rethought. As we say its HUGE news. Equal love. The same level of respect towards the likes of IGN/GameSpot/PSM3 etc is handed out to WENB/PESFan/PESGaming. Say that a few years ago and people would say you were crazy.

Its taken time, but the whole community effort is real, even if we haven't seen the fruits of labour yet on this new focus from Seabass and Konami. We will, in the coming weeks, but in the mean time the proof is there for all to see.

Take magazine previews for example. Usually, in true WENB fashion, sites are continually looking forward to magazine releases with new information on the upcoming PES game. This year it's different. We know EVERYTHING. Seriously, even the content in the PSM3 PES issue was in the community site's hands well in advance, not to mention playing the game at the same time as paid press.

It's been quite surreal, and difficult to climatise to the change, but I guess we have to get used to this change in focus. Time to cancel that magazine subscription? Maybe, just maybe...

CQC In PES

Not quite the Metal Gear CQC (unless you're Real Madrid's Pepe), but certainly the same baseline meaning. You see, what I adore about the dribbling in PES is the way you can maintain possession even though you have a player in close proximity.

For example, when ever you see players like Messi/Ronaldo/Robben etc in possession the defenders always try and stay close. If you jump in, the skillful guys have an opportunity to whizz past you. This is in PES, and portrayed very accurately in how it acts out in real life.

While some argue response times can be too quick in PES, things like CQD (close quarter dribbling) rely on always feeling in 100% control of your player.

PES 2009 amplified it too much however, although many will be pleased to hear its been toned down again. There's more specific details on the way the dribbling mechanics have been tweaked for PES 2010 in the coming weeks.

Hey all PES fans, this is a little introduction as to who I am and more importantly what I do. My name is Jameel or Jay to my friends. What I do is I play Video Games. Next-gen games, then some arcade games and when I'm tired of those I fire up some of my plethora of retro consoles and play some more games. Sounds good yeah?

That's because it is. In your face haters! Ahem...

What does that have to do with what Im doing here? Personally I'm a big football fan and since I spam games like its a problem, WE/PES has always been one of my most played games series, I've literally loved PES since the old playstation days in its initial ISS Pro Evo guise. The WE/PES series has been a game that I've always enjoyed, and have always looked forward to every version that one of my favourite nippon developers have created in the East. Anyways thats enough about me... Hope to get know all fans of this project soon as possible!

Was entered in the WENB PES Star comp, and was a finalist. The amount of players that have 'I Belong To Jesus' (Kaka etc) vests under their shirts is huge, and the way the pic mixed that with PES is ace.

Definitely a personal fave.

How I wish PES was hitting before FIFA, be awesome playing the final game in September. But hey, one thing at a time, I'll be playing it in a few weeks!

Which means many things. Simple things like remembering not to type '07' in the month column when doing weekly reports for work. It also means it's my one year wedding anniversary this month. And it means it's the month footy starts again.

But, more importantly to you lot, it's the month we find out shed loads of information on PES 2010. Gamescom is a mere 18 days away, and with it will bring the publics first impressions of PES 2010. Websites across the land will have gameplay videos galore, and the sites that have a more advanced code than what's at Gamescom (like WENB) will be releasing more screenshots and information to boot.

The event in Cologne will probably have PES 2010 at 70%, with around 6 teams and just the exhibition mode unlocked. While limited, it should show the public what to expect from the final version. The animations are the big talking point, I seriously can't wait to see how it moves - and then see the reaction from the community.

A telling month then, make sure you book some time off for that week. Its gonna get CRAZY!
